Our retractable screens fit the openings rural homes are built around - ranchsliders and French doors onto the verandah, entry doors, and awning windows - and retract fully out of sight when you are not using them. The standard 18x14 mesh keeps a clear view over the block, and claw-resistant pet mesh stands up to the working dogs and house pets that live on rural properties.
Maketū, Pukehina, and the coast
A short drive from town the district meets the sea at Maketū and Pukehina Beach, where the estuary and the dunes bring sandflies and midges out on still evenings. For homes along the coast we fit a finer midge mesh that holds the small coastal insects out while keeping the outlook over the water clear, with hardware powder-coated for year-round coastal use.

Beachfront and estuary homes can have a finer midge mesh fitted in place of the standard weave, tight enough to hold out the sandflies and midges that come off the water on still evenings.

We're part of the wider Phantom Screens family, and Phantom Screens NZ is New Zealand owned and run. Phantom in Canada leads much of the international research and development, and a few of our door and outdoor ranges are made to measure by Phantom in Australia, where our New Zealand volumes are too small to make them here. Our window screens are made in our Tauranga workshop, and every screen is measured, fitted, and serviced by our own team across the upper North Island.
