“I cannot believe we still get the same view with these screens installed. They blend in seamlessly and work perfectly.”

Retractable insect screens for Te Puke homes, orchards and lifestyle blocks. Made to measure, fitted by our Bay of Plenty team - indicative quote from photos.
Fine mesh stops flies, mosquitoes, and spiders getting in while your doors and windows stay open.
Natural airflow cools your home and clears stuffiness, without letting insects in with it.
Handles real fly pressure on big country openings, with midge and solar mesh options when you need them.
Tighter midge mesh keeps sandflies and midges out of homes near the water and estuaries.
Claw-resistant pet mesh stands up to paws, claws, and pets that jump.
See pet-friendly screensTe Puke calls itself the kiwifruit capital of the world, and the orchards that earn the title shape how people live here - rural homesteads set among shelter belts, lifestyle blocks toward Paengaroa and Pongakawa, and town homes a short walk from the main street. Phantom Screens NZ fits retractable insect screens, fly screen doors, and outdoor blinds, made to measure for all of them, so the doors can stay open on a warm evening without the insects that come with living this close to the land.
Horticulture keeps this corner of the Bay warm, sheltered, and green - and the same conditions that suit the vines suit the insects. Shelter belts block the breeze that would otherwise move flies and mosquitoes on, and the long, humid growing season keeps them about well into autumn. Our retractable screens fit the openings rural homes are built around - ranchsliders and French doors onto the verandah, entry doors, and awning windows - and retract fully out of sight when you are not using them. The standard 18x14 mesh keeps a clear view over the block, and claw-resistant pet mesh stands up to the working dogs and house pets that live on rural properties.
A short drive from town the district meets the sea at Maketū and Pukehina Beach, where the estuary and the dunes bring sandflies and midges out on still evenings. For homes along the coast we fit a finer midge mesh that holds the small coastal insects out while keeping the outlook over the water clear, with hardware powder-coated for year-round coastal use.

FAQ
Yes. A lot of our Te Puke work is rural - homes on kiwifruit orchards, lifestyle blocks out toward Paengaroa and Pongakawa, and homesteads on the flats. We fit retractable fly screens, screen doors, and outdoor blinds to the openings those homes are built around, from ranchsliders and verandah doors to awning windows, with claw-resistant pet mesh for the dogs on the back door.
Yes. Our Bay of Plenty team covers the whole district, from Te Puke and Paengaroa out to the coast at Maketū, Pukehina, and Pongakawa. Beachfront and estuary homes can have a finer midge mesh fitted in place of the standard weave, tight enough to hold out the sandflies and midges that come off the water on still evenings.
Usually, yes. Send photos and rough opening sizes through the quote form and we will come back with an indicative price. We only book a measure-up once you're happy with the solution and product - it saves waiting on a visit when your place is a fair way up a back road.
We're part of the wider Phantom Screens family, and Phantom Screens NZ is New Zealand owned and run. Phantom in Canada leads much of the international research and development, and a few of our door and outdoor ranges are made to measure by Phantom in Australia, where our New Zealand volumes are too small to make them here. Our window screens are made in our Tauranga workshop, and every screen is measured, fitted, and serviced by our own team across the upper North Island.
