Quick answers for NZ homeowners
The questions homeowners ask us most, answered.
How long does a Phantom screen install take? +
Most screens are installed in a couple of hours, including testing and homeowner training - window screens often take under an hour, and larger motorised outdoor screens can take a day. We tidy the site before leaving.
What mesh options suit Kiwi conditions? +
Most of our screens use premium Phifer insect mesh - long-lasting, durable, and fine enough that even midges rarely come through (they tend to get in around the edges, which we have other ways to handle). Where sandflies or midges are a real problem we can fit a tighter midge mesh, and we offer pet-tough mesh for doors and Executive screens. Solar mesh is an option where glare and heat are the concern. See the full mesh options.
Can Phantom Screens integrate with new builds? +
Yes. We work directly with architects and builders to recess cassettes, align powder-coat colours, and run power for automation so the screens disappear into the structure.
Where do you install? +
Our own teams install across the upper North Island, from Taupo north - Northland, Auckland, Waikato, and the Bay of Plenty. We've fitted Phantom screens right across the country, though, and we take on larger or architectural projects nationwide by arrangement - just ask. See all the areas we install in.
