Magnetic insect screens, explained
Magnetic screens are the budget alternative to our Serene retractable window screen - a made-to-measure mesh panel with a magnetic perimeter that snaps onto a thin strip around the window frame. Ours are the MagicSeal range, the secondary magnetic option we supply under our own retractable systems.
A magnetic screen only seals if it is measured to the millimetre. A few millimetres out and the panel never quite seals, which is why we measure, make, and fit them ourselves. Set on fitting one yourself? Our separate DIY brand ships made-to-measure kits at diyscreens.co.nz.
When magnetic is the right answer

Phantom Screens NZ is New Zealand owned and run, and part of the wider Phantom Screens family. Phantom in Canada leads much of the group's research and development, and a few of our door and outdoor ranges are made to measure by Phantom in Australia, where our New Zealand volumes are too low to make them here. Our window screens are made in our Tauranga workshop, and every screen is measured, fitted, and serviced by our own team.
